Sensys Gatso celebrates 25 years in Middle East with an order worth SEK 25+ million

06-05-2026

Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions built on trusted innovation, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso Sweden, has received an order worth SEK 25+ million from a customer in a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member country as part of the five-year procurement award announced on June 12th, 2023. The order is for the delivery of speed and red-light enforcement systems.

For 25 years, Sensys Gatso has deployed numerous enforcement systems across the Middle East. As part of the five-year agreement, this new order will replace some of the oldest systems with the latest Sensys Gatso speed and red-light enforcement technology.

“The longevity of the existing systems speaks to the quality, reliability, and design of our equipment,” said Jörgen Andersson, Managing Director of Sensys Gatso Sweden AB. “They have consistently delivered reliable performance and remain fully operational after many years, even in a very challenging environment.”

Many of Sensys Gatso’s customers operate in highly complex traffic conditions with dense congestion, where motorways can be up to 10 lanes wide, and red-light intersections are often massive. “To improve road safety and discourage dangerous driving behaviour, it’s important to replace legacy systems with more modern, purpose-built technology,” Andersson said. “Navigating these conditions - alongside strict customer requirements for enforceable violation types including accuracy, performance, reliability, and uptime - demands proven and trusted solutions of the absolute highest quality.”

As part of this agreement, Sensys Gatso will deliver the company’s state-of-the-art speed and red-light enforcement technology that combines best-in-class image quality with high performance traffic detection. Sensys Gatso speed enforcement systems can monitor up to 10 lanes of dense traffic, accurately detecting speeding violations and other infractions, including tailgating, hard-shoulder driving, and unauthorized lane usage (e.g. trucks operating in restricted lanes).

Sensys Gatso systems also improve intersection safety by enforcing a range of dangerous driving behaviours including red-light running, illegal turns, blocked intersections and/or the pedestrian crossing, and more.

“This customer is at the forefront of traffic technology, with forward-thinking requirements. Their trust and confidence in our products and services is a testament to our commitment to providing top-tier solutions. We look forward to continuing our rewarding partnership and delivering exceptional results for a valued customer of 25 years,” said Andersson.
