Sensys Gatso receives five-year TRaaS contract from Schenectady, New York valued at SEK 29 million for school zone speed enforcement

Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader and trusted innovator in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso USA, has been awarded a contract by the city council of Schenectady, NY to manage the city’s school zone safety program. The contract is for five years and is expected to be turned on in Q3 2026. The value of this award is estimated at USD 3.2 Million, corresponding to SEK 29 Million.
Cameras will be positioned on fixed poles at approximately nine school zone locations around Schenectady and will capture speeding data from vehicles during the designated school zone enforcement hours. The contract allows for future extensions and the inclusion of up to 20 school zones as the program evolves.
This new agreement expands Sensys Gatso’s existing footprint in the state of New York. The company currently provides school zone speed enforcement and red-light intersection enforcement as part of a managed service agreement with the City of Albany, the state’s capital.
