Sensys Gatso Australia receives TRaffic enforcement as a Service (TRaaS) order for extension of services in Tasmania to the value of SEK 73 million
22-08-2025
Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso Australia, has received a contract extension for the provision of enforcement services as part of the Automated Traffic Offence Enforcement (ATOE) Program in the State of Tasmania. The extension is for a base 6 month period with a further 12 month option exercisable by the client. The combined contract value of the base period and exercisable option is AUD 11.6 million, corresponding to approximately SEK 73 million.
The contract extension continues the existing ATOE Program, which is delivered as a subscription service covering Managed Services and Software as a Service deliverables.
Our TRaffic enforcement as a Service (TRaaS) solution provides trailer-based and vehicle-based speed enforcement systems deployed on the roads of Tasmania. It includes technology to capture illegal mobile phone and seatbelt use through a Distracted Driver solution, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and Mobile Point to Point Enforcement. Recently installed fixed speed enforcement systems have also become an important part of the program.
Additionally, this extended ATOE contract enables the future inclusion of In-Motion Enforcement as an optional service. If activated by the client, this solution will enable a roaming enforcement vehicle to detect speeding road users whilst in motion.
Sensys Gatso Australia's Managing Director Enzo Dri comments: "After commencing the base mobile speed enforcement program with the Department of State Growth in Tasmania in 2022, and having successfully added fixed systems, Distracted Driver, ANPR and Mobile Point to Point over the existing term; this contract extension is evidence of how a collaborative working relationship with a common goal can expand a road safety program across a state jurisdiction. This extension continues our TRaaS delivery in Australia, showcases the breadth of Sensys Gatso enforcement solutions, and supports Tasmania’s goal of reducing injuries and fatalities across the road network.”
