Investigation into Sensys Gatso Netherlands legally dismissed

05-08-2021

The Fiscal Information and Investigation Service (FIOD) in the Netherlands has concluded the investigation into Sensys Gatso Netherlands B.V., former Gatsometer B.V. and subsidiary to Sensys Gatso Group AB, and found no evidence to substantiate any allegations of misconduct. The case has been legally dismissed by the Dutch Prosecution.

The investigation related to allegations of misconduct in 2014-2015 in Gatsometer B.V., before the acquisition by Sensys Traffic AB and was announced on January 14th of this year.

Sensys Gatso has fully cooperated with the investigative authorities and conducted an in depth internal inquiry into the allegations, the result of which were shared with the FIOD. The formal outcome of the investigation is that the FIOD did not find evidence to substantiate the allegations and will not proceed with any prosecution.

“I am happy with the conclusion of the Dutch Prosecution. We were confident about a positive outcome of the investigations and right from the start we were transparent and cooperative with the investigative authorities. This is natural to us, because our company revolves around Integrity. It defines who we are as people, as a partner to our customers and how we design our solutions”, says Ivo Mönnink, CEO.

The information was submitted for publication, through the agency of the contact person set out above, at 11.30 on August 5, 2021.
