Order from United Arab Emirates worth SEK 10 million

08-06-2015

SENSYS Traffic AB, a global supplier of traffic safety solutions, has received an order for traffic safety systems worth SEK 10m from the United Arab Emirates.

Sensys’ largest installed base besides Sweden is in the United Arab Emirates and this order brings the emirate Ras Al Khaimah on board as a customer.

The Middle East is currently Sensys’ second largest market and the company now has customers in 8 of the region’s 14 countries. The total available market in the Middle East has a combined population of approximately 350 million. These countries have high road fatality rates and to improve the situation, some major investments to develop infrastructure and safety are currently underway, primarily in the rapidly growing cities. The market for traffic safety systems in the region is therefore displaying healthy growth, making it strategically important for Sensys. It is for this reason that Sensys has established local offices in Dubai.

“We are continuing to reap success in the Middle East. This order is strategically important, partly because it is a new customer, but chiefly because Ras Al Khaimah has for some time been working with another supplier of traffic monitoring systems,” comments Sensys’ CEO Torbjörn Sandberg.

Sensys Traffic is obliged to publish the information contained in this press release pursuant to the Swedish Securities Market Act and/or Financial Instruments Trading Act. This information was submitted for publication on 8 June at 3.00 p.m.
