16/04/2019 - Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, has through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso USA, signed a five-year contract extension for Managed Services with the city of Albany, the State Capitol of New York. The automated red light camera enforcement program, which originally went into effect in 2015, will continue for five more years and has an approximate annual revenue value of $470K USD, corresponding to a total contract value of approximately $2.4M or SEK 21.5 million over the 5 year period.
Albany is the state capitol of New York and is the oldest continuously chartered city in the country, older than New York City or Boston. From the time of the initial red light camera implementation in 2015, Albany stakeholders have been focused on safer streets for their community, reducing intersection crashes and improving overall driver behavior.
“We are pleased to continue our important work with the City of Albany for the next five years. The leadership in Albany has always been focused on safety for its residents and for the pedestrians, cyclists and drivers who share their roads.”, says Andrew Noble, President of Sensys Gatso USA.
